Empowering Women
In Pensions

Purpose

Women in Pensions (WIP) is a Canadian national community of women who are passionate about pensions and who work in the pension industry. Our network has been running for over ten years and our members include pension plan administrators, lawyers, actuaries, investment advisors, consultants, and others.

Our goals are to unite you with other women who understand the importance of pensions and who wish to expand their network, advance their careers, and participate in professional development opportunities.

This community can help you find peers, mentors, friends and advocates to support you in reaching your goals, be they leadership, networking, learning, advancement, equity or others.

About Us

Our History

Women in Pensions Canada began over a decade ago with a small group of women in the pension industry getting together annually in one of their homes. It was a wonderful event every year to catch up in a social setting with so many interesting women and the number of attendees increased each year. When the covid lockdown hit the Women in Pensions Canada group pivoted to the virtual world, presenting many webinars and discussion opportunities. Those virtual sessions were very well received and the number of attendees grew further. Post the covid lock down Women in Pensions Canada has moved to a hybrid model with both in person and virtual sessions plus in person social events. The group continues to expand. Connection, networking, mentorship, skill development and fun have been hallmarks of the Women in Pensions events.
